Industrial Fabric Filters
For decades, Riedel Filtertechnik has been a leading expert in dedusting technology, supplying customized industrial filters and filtration systems. Whether in the form of bag filters, cartridge filters, or hose filters, our fabric filters effectively and reliably achieve clean gas dust concentrations of less than 1.0 mg/m³. Special priority is given to meeting the highest safety requirements of our customers, particularly in the areas of explosion and fire protection. An industrial filter is often a core element of a central dust collection system and therefore a critical component of a functioning production process.
Advantages & Features
Dust Separation Using Industrial Filters
Industrial filters, such as bag filters, represent a highly proven technology for industrial dust collection. Based on decades of experience, we have perfected the technical design and manufacturing of industrial filter systems and optimized them with industry-specific knowledge for our customers. See for yourself the benefits of a fabric filter from Riedel Filtertechnik for your application:
Effective Dust Filtration
Reliable achievement of clean gas dust concentrations < 1.0 mg/m³ through the use of suitable fabric filters, enabling the possibility of air recirculation back into production.
Minimized Explosion Risk
Constructive and electrical explosion and fire protection to minimize risks. Compliance with ATEX guidelines is possible.

Functionality & Application
Use of Industrial Filters for Dust Filtration
An industrial filtration system operates by drawing dust-laden air from the process environment, also known as raw gas, through a series of filter media within the filter housing using negative pressure. Depending on their shape and geometry, these are filter bags, filter hoses, or filter cartridges. Since they are made of special textile materials such as needle felt, they are also referred to as fabric filters, bag filters or baghouse filters. These materials act as a physical barrier that captures and retains dust particles from the raw gas. The cleaned air, known as clean gas, passes through the filter media and exits the filter system. The filtered dust particles adhere to the surface of the filter media until they are removed through mechanical cleaning methods such as shaking or compressed air pulses and discharged from the industrial filter via a discharge mechanism, such as a rotary valve.
Industrial Filters as Core Elements of Central Dust Collection Systems
As part of central dust collection solutions in production environments, a fabric filter often serves as the core element of classical dust collection technology. Dust-laden air is captured at various emission points through extraction systems and conveyed under negative pressure to the industrial filter via ductwork. The dust filtered out by the fabric filter is collected through discharge elements and, if necessary, centrally gathered, recycled, and disposed of.
