Blend Selector & T‑Switch
Due to various tobacco blends and different cigarette and packaging formats, high flexibility is required for the pneumatic transport of cut tobacco from the Primary to the cigarette manufacturing machines in the Secondary. For quality reasons, it must be ensured that the required tobacco blend is consistently transported without mix-ups or contamination.
Our Blend Selector with its smart Connection Control System reliably ensures this and can be integrated into the MES via PLC and network interfaces. The T‑Switch, on the other hand, is easily integrated into existing feeding systems, allowing for simple switching - either manually or via control systems - to alternative feeding sources such as separate containers and C48 boxes. All solutions from Riedel Filtertechnik are characterized by maximum material preservation.

T‑Switch

The T‑Switch by Riedel Filtertechnik is a smart and easily integrable pipe switch designed to control the feeding source of a maker. Through manual or automatic switching, the T‑Switch alternates between the standard feeding line and an alternative feeding source, such as separate containers. The T‑Switch is therefore an effective and user-friendly addition to your existing feeding system. See for yourself the benefits of our T-Switch for easy control of alternative feeding sources:
- Two Switching Modes for Easy Operation: Availability of alternative switching modes for changing the feeding source: Manually by hand and Automatically via pneumatic cylinder. Pneumatic T-Switch for installation in hard-to-reach locations.
- Optimized for Tobacco Transport: Sealing of rotating parts with tobacco-tested material. Smooth design without hidden recesses where tobacco could accumulate, thus eliminating the risk of tobacco beetles.
- Maximum Material Preservation: Use of Riedel Filtertechnik's patented FPC pipe couplings to ensure gentle transport of cut tobacco with minimal product degradation.
