Every cut tobacco contains winnower, which cannot be processed in cigarettes and is usually either disposed of or returned to the Primary. Our WinU⁺ technology is designed to shred the winnower near the cigarette machine, also known as the maker, into usable particle sizes using a cutting mill. Subsequently, the shredded winnower is automatically and precisely returned online to the maker. The size of the shredded tobacco particles can be adjusted according to customer requirements. TIRS

Our TIRS has been designed to recover tobacco that would otherwise end up in the central dedusting system. By integrating the TIRS into the dedusting line of the maker, high-quality tobacco particles of a specific size, known as shorts, are gently separated or sieved from the process exhaust air before entering the central dedusting system.
